Natural numbers and Whole Numbers: What is difference between them?
Most
students get confuse with Natural numbers and Whole numbers. I hope this
tutorial will get rid of this confusion.
Now,
the set of Natural numbers (N) is
given by: N= {1, 2, 3, 4 ...} and the set of Whole numbers (W) is given by: W = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4 ...}.
Thus the intersection of N and W = N
and the union of N and W = W.
The
smallest natural number is 1 and
there is no largest natural number.
The
smallest whole number is 0 and there
is no largest whole number. For any further advice on your studies or any challenge on this post, please feel free to contact me at: dzaazo@gmail.com. I will appreciate it.
